Basic Information
The full name of FEP in Teflon™ FEP is fluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer, which is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene.

Performance characteristics
1. Non-stickiness: Almost no solid substances can adhere to Teflon™ FEP industrial coatings permanently. Sticky substances may adhere temporarily, but almost all substances can fall off easily.
2. Low friction coefficient: The dynamic friction coefficient is between 0.08-0.30, and the static friction coefficient is between 0.12-0.20, which can effectively reduce the friction between the surfaces of objects.
3. Heat resistance: It can be used continuously at temperatures up to 204℃ (400°F), and intermittent use temperatures can be as high as 260℃ (500°F) under proper ventilation conditions.
4. Chemical resistance: Except for very few chemicals such as molten alkali metals and highly active fluorinating agents, Teflon™ FEP industrial coatings have excellent resistance to most chemicals.
5. Non-wetting properties: It is hydrophobic and oleophobic, with low surface energy, and water will form water beads on its surface without spreading.
6. Unique electrical properties: It has high dielectric strength, low dielectric constant, low loss factor and high surface resistivity, and can remain stable over a wide frequency range.
7. Wear resistance: It has good durability and toughness, can resist scratches and wear, and the coating with added fillers can minimize wear.
8. Food contact compliance: Many Teflon™ FEP industrial coatings comply with regional food contact regulations such as the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Product form
Usually available in two forms: powder and aqueous liquid.

Application areas
1. Food processing industry: used for molds, conveyor belts, baking trays, etc. of food processing equipment, which can prevent food from sticking, are easy to clean, and meet food contact safety standards.
2. Chemical processing industry: It can be coated on the surface of chemical reactors, pipes, valves and other equipment to resist corrosion from various chemicals and ensure long-term stable operation of the equipment.
3. Packaging industry: Applied to parts of packaging machinery, such as heat sealing knives, rollers, etc., which can reduce friction, prevent packaging materials from sticking, and improve packaging efficiency and quality.
4. Textile and footwear industry: It can be used for yarn guides, rollers and other parts of textile machinery, as well as the surface of footwear molds, to reduce friction, improve production efficiency, and ensure product quality.

Coating parameters
1.532G-8110: Standard grade, powder, transparent color, FDA-compliant, maximum use temperature 204℃/400°F, curing temperature 371℃/700°F, each coating thickness 1.0-2.0mil, maximum total coating thickness 4.0-6.0mil.
2.532G-8410: high molecular weight, powder, transparent color, FDA compliant, maximum use temperature 204℃/400°F, curing temperature 371℃/700°F, 1.0-2.0mil per coat, maximum total coating thickness 10.0mil.
3.856G-300: standard grade, water-based liquid, transparent color, FDA compliant, maximum use temperature 204℃/400°F, curing temperature 371℃/700°F, 0.6mil per coat, maximum total coating thickness 5.0mil.
4.856G-304: standard grade, water-based liquid, green color, not FDA compliant, maximum use temperature 204℃/400°F, curing temperature 371℃/700°F, 0.6mil per coat, maximum total coating thickness 5.0mil.
5.856G-410: Thick coating type, water-based liquid, transparent color, FDA-compliant, maximum use temperature 204℃/400°F, curing temperature 371℃/700°F, thickness of each coating 1.0-2.0mil, maximum total coating thickness 7.0mil.
6.953G-401: Standard grade, water-based liquid, tin gray color, FDA-compliant, maximum use temperature 260℃/500°F, curing temperature 357℃/675°F, thickness of each coating 0.6-0.8mil, maximum total coating thickness 0.6-0.8mil.
